American National values contributions to the community
American National has a long history of giving back to the community, and we support various charities at both the corporate and individual employee level, including:
American Cancer Society's Relay for Life - American National teams annually participate in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event. Relay for Life raises money for cancer research and cancer patients.
D-Feet Breast Cancer Walk - The annual family fun run/walk provides funding for screening mammograms for uninsured, under-served women in Galveston county. The organization also works with other groups to promote early detection of breast cancer through educational programs.
Fall Street Machine Nationals – After many years of hosting the Car Show for Kids, American National realized the event had outgrown its venue. Still wanting to connect with car enthusiasts, American National is now pairing with the O’Reilly Auto Parts Fall Street Machine Nationals. This continues our tradition of raising funds for the United Way of the Ozarks while hosting a well-known Springfield-area event.
Flags for Veterans – American National’s Employee Activity Committee organizes and annual flag sale on Veteran’s Day with proceeds benefitting various veterans’ groups.
Rock N' Ribs BBQ Festival – American National’s Springfield location is proud to be a founding member and sponsor of the annual Rock 'n Ribs BBQ Festival, a benefit for youth organizations serving children of the Ozarks.
Salvation Army - American National supports the Salvation Army by providing assistance with various projects including the Back-to-School Clothing Drive, food drives and the Angel Tree Holiday Drive.
United Way of Galveston County - American National employees contribute roughly $200,000 annually, which directly supports more than 90 local charities in the Galveston/Houston area.
United Way of the Ozarks – American National’s Springfield location has been presented with the United Way of the Ozarks "Silver Award" as well as the "Gold Award" (by raising over $44,000) which put the company in the "Major Contributor" campaign category.
