ANPAC Louisiana Notice

ANPAC Louisiana Insurance Company Notice

Effective December 31, 2022, ANPAC Louisiana Insurance Company (“ANPLA”) merged into its affiliate, American National Property and Casualty Company (“ANPAC”).

As a result, ANPAC is now the insurance company responsible for all ANPLA policies (other than Texas surplus lines policies referenced below).

Policy premiums and coverage will not change as a result of the merger and all other provisions of current ANPLA policies will remain the same immediately following the merger.  Your American National insurance agent has not changed and there has been no change to the mailing addresses, website address or phone numbers for policy service, billing or to report a claim.

If your policy is impacted by the merger, you should receive a letter notifying you of the change and Merger Endorsement for your policy changing the name of the underwriting company to ANPAC.  Please keep the letter and the enclosed Merger Endorsement with your policy and contact your agent or one of our customer service representatives at 1-800-899-6519 if you have any questions. If you have multiple policies, you may receive a copy of the letter and Merger Endorsement for each policy.

Texas surplus lines: ANPLA has entered into an Assumption Reinsurance Agreement with its affiliate, American National General Insurance Company (“ANGIC”), for ANPLA’s Texas surplus lines policies.  Pursuant to the Agreement, effective December 31, 2022, ANPLA has transferred its contractual rights, obligations, liabilities and risks for Texas surplus lines policies to ANGIC.

As a result, ANGIC is now the insurance company responsible for ANPLA’s Texas surplus lines policies.

Policy premiums and coverage will not change as a result of the merger and all other provisions of current ANPLA Texas surplus lines policies will remain the same immediately following the merger.  Your American National insurance agent has not changed and there has been no change to the mailing addresses, website address or phone numbers.

If your policy is impacted by the Assumption Reinsurance Agreement, you will receive a letter notifying you of the assumption and an Assumption Certificate for your policy changing the insurer to ANGIC.  Please keep the letter and Assumption Certificate with your policy and contact your agent, your Company representative, or one of our customer service representatives at 1-800-899-6519 if you have any questions.  If you have multiple policies, you may receive a copy of the letter and Assumption Certificate for each policy.
